We’ve heard in the last few years of some truly remarkable uses for the C64 in modern times; how about this one still powering an auto shop in Poland, for instance? And here’s another first.

Last week, Paul De Carlo became the first person to order a Starbucks using his trusty Commodore. The software developer from Houston, Texas, USA, has named the hack Coffeedore.

Technically, you’re not supposed to be able to use any regular computer to order Starbucks, but Paul’s taken advantage of a flaw in the US Starbucks phone app which was discovered in July – there’s a full explanation on that here.

“I don’t normally drink coffee”, Paul told Motherboard. Literally, I took a sip,” he said. “I’m wired as a result.” Legend. CF
