Last week, Paul De Carlo became the first person to order a Starbucks using his trusty Commodore. The software developer from Houston, Texas, USA, has named the hack Coffeedore.
Technically, you’re not supposed to be able to use any regular computer to order Starbucks, but Paul’s taken advantage of a flaw in the US Starbucks phone app which was discovered in July – there’s a full explanation on that here.
“I don’t normally drink coffee”, Paul told Motherboard. Literally, I took a sip,” he said. “I’m wired as a result.” Legend. CF
